Piper is a loving pit mix who is eager to find her forever home. Piper is energetic and loves to go on walks, but she also knows when to be calm. She LOVES snuggles, she will lay on your lap all day if you let her. Piper gets along well with other dogs but can get overwhelmed with them sometimes, having her own space to decompress will be important in her future home.
Piper is at our Main Ranch location! Watermelon Mountain Ranch (Across from Cleveland High School) 3251 Westphalia Blvd. NE Rio Rancho, NM 87144 505-221-2359

More about this shelter
Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
