Skip is a handsome lab/pit mix who would love to meet you! He has a great smile, which spreads across his cute face when you give him pets or throw his ball. He is affectionate and endearing and loves to play! Skip will need a large yard with a secure fence as he is very animal reactive and cannot go on walks. Skip loves playing with kids but is quite rambunctious so any kid in the home will need to be comfortable around large dogs.

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
