Charlie loves life and is always ready for his next adventure! He loves going on long walks, playing with his kennel mate, or playing fetch for hours on end. Before coming to us, Charlie had TPLO surgery to repair a torn ligament in his knee, he has fully recovered from the surgery but it is important that he stay a health weight to help avoid reinjuring the knee.

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
