Meet Gus! A 5-year-old, 90.4-pound Siberian Husky and German Shepherd mix who was surrendered to the shelter when the people caring for him didn`t have the time or the means to provide him with the care he needed.
Gus lived with young children and toddlers, as well as a cat! He`s incredibly dog-friendly and gravitates towards anyone and everyone in hopes of becoming pals. Gus loves bath time, is potty-trained, kennel-trained, and loves fetch and tug. He knows all of his basic commands and loves car rides.
This cutie loves to be outside but needs a home where he can be leashed, fenced-in, or trained to the property line so he doesn`t wander. Gus is an amazing boy who, despite his breed make-up, is very chill! He loves snuggling, walks, playing, and kids.
Gus is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at The Babinski Foundation Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

We strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.
OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
