My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wendell is a large, sweet-natured dog with a gentle personality and a soft expression that wins people over right away. He has an easygoing temperament and carries himself with a calm, steady presence. Wendell enjoys attention, is polite when meeting new people, and has done well around other dogs in the shelter. He’s the kind of dog who appreciates a quiet moment, a kind hand, and a comfortable place to relax. If you’re looking for a friendly, lovable companion with a big heart, Wendell is worth getting to know.

More about this shelter

Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
