My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joey: AKA Joey Jumping Bean, J Joe Jeans and his Jumping Beans..LOL!! Joey is 11 pounds of pure energy, ready to fly straight at you and bombard you with LOVE! ❤️❤️❤️ Joey is always on the move and always down for anything. Joey absolutely loves to play with toys, people and other dogs! He's also happy to snuggle up in your lap or to snuggle side-by-side. Joey is approximately one years old!

Joey is a good boy yet he is still very puppylike. He sometimes tries to explore places he shouldn't so secure fences a must. Joey sometimes thinks anything is a toy so you will want to puppy proof your pad. Joey is nearly 100% potty trained but since he sometimes marks, belly bands for the first few weeks and when visiting friends is a good idea.

Joey loves children and he'd be great in home with kids or visiting grandchildren! Giggles and wagging tails!

Joey loves to be the center of attention and loves to give lots of love to those who love him so be ready to be Joey's sun and moon!

Seriously, this cute dog is lots of fun and energy. He'd be a great companion for someone who lives an active life and boy...another dog in the home is a GREAT idea.

Submit your application now and get ready for life with Joey!

Additional adoption info

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy foster to forever transition. The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home check, and an adoption donation. The adoption donation helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.

More about this rescue

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control, and other local shelters, through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs in a loving home until a forever loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes!  You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes. All of our dogs are in foster care.
