My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pinky is a perky, playful Pomeranian pup with a lot of pep to her step! At 17lbs, Pinky is small enough for a lap, but has the attitude and smarts of a dog three times her size! She LOVES to play with toys, and loves to play fetch. Pinky is looking for a home that will give her a lot of activity, and then some lap-naptime once she`s tired herself out. Pinky sees life through rose colored glasses, and needs her forever person to give her all the love and belly rubs she requires! Life will never feel stinky with Pinky by your side!

Pinky is at our Cottonwood Mall location!

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
