When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!
What we know: Transferred from Espanola Humane in Espanola, NM at approximately 11 years old. One of Heather's owners recently passed, the other is in poor health, so she was surrendered. Heather received a dental, has teeth removed, and had a mammary mass removal prior to being available and now she is ready to go home!
From the foster: Heather: The Professional Cozy Expert
Ready for her forever couch!
Meet Heather a distinguished senior lady (11 years young) whose only demand in life is maximum comfort and infinite love. After a lifetime of pampered luxury, Heather was sadly surrendered when her beloved family could no longer care for her. Now, she's searching for a retirement plan that includes a full-time human companion and the softest bedding available.
What Makes Heather Irresistible?
✨ The Cozy Connoisseur: Heather has a refined palate for all things plush. Her ideal day involves rotating between the squishiest couch cushions, the fuzziest dog beds, and demanding soft treats, which are easier for her missing-tooth smile! If it’s soft, she’s on it.
💃 The Zoomie Queen: Don't let her leisurely demeanor fool you! Heather is calm, composed, and the picture of tranquility... until her favorite human walks through the door. Then, prepare for the most adorable, high-octane greeting known to dogdom! She greets her person with enthusiastic bounds, full-body wiggles, and a tail wag vigorous enough to fan the eternal flame!
🐾 Dog-Friendly Diplomat: Heather is the easiest date you'll ever have. She has met countless canines and has never encountered a dog she didn't instantly approve of. Her policy is to *sniff and ignore*, making her a chill, low-drama companion for any existing furry family members.
🚶♀️ The Best Co-Pilot: This girl is house-trained, an absolute dream on a leash, and wants nothing more than to be your shadow. She’s looking for a human who appreciates the slow, comfortable activities of life—think gentle walks, long naps, and quality time spent reading or watching TV together . The Fine Print (A Little Shy, A Lot of Love)
Heather might be a bit reserved when meeting new people, needing a moment to warm up, but once you're in her circle, you’re in for life.
