Meet Diesel!
Diesel is a handsome 13-year-old chocolate point Siamese with a big voice and an even bigger heart. He was adopted by a family, but after things didn’t work out with their dogs, he came to the sanctuary. Shortly after arriving, we noticed something wasn’t quite right—and Diesel was diagnosed with diabetes.
Thanks to quick care and treatment, his glucose levels are now stable. He currently takes Bexacat, a once-daily pill for diabetes, and he happily takes it in a pill pocket with no fuss. He’s been absolutely perfect with his medication routine and is thriving now that he’s on treatment.
Diesel is wonderfully vocal and loves to chat, especially when he’s seeking attention—which is often! He soaks up affection, enjoys being doted on, and has a blast with cat treat puzzles (he’s a little puzzle master!).
Because he craves attention and prefers not to share his humans, Diesel would do best as the only animal in the home. He would also do well with older kids only, if any. He is also declawed from one of his prior homes.
If you’re looking for a loving, interactive companion who wants nothing more than to be your best friend, Diesel is ready to be your devoted sidekick!
Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets.
If you’re interested in adoption, please visit straylovefoundation.org and complete an adoption application.
Every rescue in our care receives comprehensive vetting, which includes:
We take every possible step to ensure their health and happiness, giving them the best chance at a long, fulfilling life.
While we do everything in our power to provide healthy rescues, it's important to note that some animals may have genetic health conditions we cannot predict (since we don’t have their family history). Additionally, medical tests—though highly reliable—can occasionally yield false negatives. Unexpected health issues may arise, either before or after adoption, but thanks to our thorough vetting process, the likelihood of a long and healthy life is very high.

Submit Application
We have an application process to assure that adopters understand the commitment. Our base adoption donation is $148 but may ask more.
Interview
Our applications are detailed so that we have the information we need to make sure our rescues go into safe, loving permanent homes.
Meet the Pet
A meet and greet is always necessary to be sure the chemistry between adoptive family or person is compatible.
Interview
We interview not only their references and vet but also the responsible parties if something happens to them.
Approve Application
Once application is approved we still want to be sure that they understand that this is a long term commitment.
Home Check
Home checks are not always conducted, especially for cats & kittens but for dogs, we always want to check to be sure fences are in order.
Take the Pet Home
We understand that sometimes a new pet does not work out no matter how hard we try. We will always take our rescues back.
