My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Suzie! I am current on my vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and soon to be heartworm tester

3 words that describe me: Affectionate, Athletic and Friendly

Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I am a very polite girl with the biggest smile, I love being outside and I love being with my sister.

Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 7/10

Housetraining Status: I like to keep my kennel clean at the shelter, but when I go into a new home I might have a couple accidents until I learn our routine.

I should do well in a home: Other dogs given proper introductions and supervision, I came into the shelter with my sister, Sophie, and love to hang out with her. My friends at the shelter believe I would do good in a home with any ages, according to my old owners, I love kids of all ages. My friends at the shelter are unsure how I would do with cats.

My favorite activities are: Hanging out with Sophie, going for walks, getting to play, although I am not a fan of toys.

Things I need work on are: When I get excited I tend to jump up on people and pull on leash.

Any special needs: N/A

Doggy day out notes:
"Suzie did really well! She did pull a bit when we first would start walking somewhere or if we were close to people, and would jump if she was excited. She is super curious and liked to sniff everything. She was super social when we came across people and even made friends with a couple by the river! She does like to chase squirrels and tried to keep jumping to reach one in a tree, but stopped when I asked her to. She loves to roll around in the grass and be silly!"

"Suzie was lovely. She liked to pull at her leash as we explored nature and downtown, and she was very eager to meet people of all ages. She was very calm and laid back in the car rides, and she barked just a couple times while we were practicing tricks. She’s a sweetheart who I’d he happy to take on a doggy day out anytime."

"Suzie rode quietly and calmly in the car and we went on a 2 hour hike without tiring out! She quickly caught onto the concept of heel and sit quickly on command. She did great with my 4 kids but can jump when she gets really excited although she is quickly and easily redirected. She is such a sweet girl!"

"Suzie is the sweetest girl! She loved meeting new people and exploring new places. She did really well on her walk and loved rolling around in the grass and leaves. The sweetest dog!!"

"She was such a good girl. She is quiet but very energetic. She loved the hike and was super happy to be outside. She was otherwise a very good girl and so sweet!"
