Meet Shopaholic! This adorable 2-year-old, 43.2-lb girl is already winning hearts. Shopaholic is an easy, pleasant leash walker who enjoys taking her time and observing the world around her. She may seem a bit aloof at first, but don’t let that fool you—once she feels safe and comfortable, she absolutely melts into you for cuddles. Shopaholic is already spayed and ready to go home today.
She’s been described as gentle, and she really loves scratches, pets, and—most of all—treats, which makes her both charming and easy to motivate. We can confidently say she’s a sweet, calm companion who’s just waiting for someone to discover how special she is. Shopaholic is a silly girl, loves fetch, but doesn’t always bring the ball back.
Shopaholic recently spent a wonderful weekend out of the shelter, and she truly shined in a home environment. She was a delightful houseguest—loving, bouncy, silly, and full of joy. Her foster affectionately nicknamed her “Vivi,” and she even responded to it, showing how people-focused and engaged she is.
Shopaholic is crate trained and is doing very well with house training, with no accidents during the last couple of days of her stay. She absolutely loves her stuffies and enjoys playing fetch (even if she hasn’t quite mastered bringing the toy back yet). On walks, she has great recall and is responsive to her handler. She may pull a bit toward people because she’s eager to say hello, but she redirects easily. With some practice, she showed excellent loose-leash walking and walked beautifully when distractions were minimal.
She truly loves everyone she meets—men and women alike—and has never met a stranger. Her tail is almost always wiggling, and while she can be a little jumpy when first meeting someone, she is very receptive to “four on the floor.” Vivi is also a world-class snuggler and happily spent mornings cuddled up, sleeping on laps or resting her head on a shoulder.
Playful, affectionate, and a puppy at heart, Shopaholic (aka Vivi) would do wonderfully in just about any home. She’s a happy, loving girl who’s ready to bring laughter, cuddles, and endless tail wags to her future family.
Shopaholic has met other dogs at the shelter, she is a gentle girl who does best with polite friends. She will need to meet any doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.

Step 3: Tour our adoption rooms and write down the names of animals that you would like to meet. A volunteer or staff member will help you meet your chosen animals to make a match!
Step 4: When you have selected the right animal for you, our Adoptions Team will run your Adoption Application for approval. Once your application is approved, you will participate in an adoption class where you will learn all of the details about your new adopted family member, including their known history and medical records.
What else to expect: Animals who are already spayed/neutered and past their stray hold (if applicable) can often go home with you the same day. Pick-up arrangements for unaltered animals and/or animals still on a stray hold will be made during your adoption class.

We are an open admission shelter, granting refuge to every abandoned, neglected, abused, lost or surrendered animal that comes through our door.
