Meet Love, a 6-month-old bundle of pure joy, wiggles, and sunshine!

True to his name, Love is bursting with life and positive energy. He’s bouncy, sweet, and absolutely adorable - the kind of pup who can brighten your day just by looking at you. Whether he’s hopping around with excitement or melting into your arms for affection, Love makes every moment feel a little lighter.

Because he’s still a young dog, Love will need an adopter ready for all the fun (and responsibility!) that comes with raising a puppy - training, structure, patience, and lots of love in return. He’s eager to learn, eager to bond, and eager to make his new family proud.

Meet the Pet

Visit the shelter during regular business hours. If the pet is listed as "in foster", please contact the foster at the email provided.

2.
Submit Application

If you would like to adopt after meeting the animal, the foster or staff member will give you a link to an online application.

3.
Approve Application

One of our adoptions counselors will contact you to go over the pet’s medical history, personality information, and answer any questions.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Finalize adoption paperwork & pay adoption fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Schedule a time to pick up the pet at the shelter.

Founded in 1944, the Animal Welfare League of Arlington provides animal adoption and community programs to the Northern Virginia and D.C. metropolitan area, as well as animal rescue and control services within Arlington County.
