My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Glossy is a domestic shorthair that came into our care in June of 2025. Glossy and her siblings were dumped out in the hot sun in our parking lot. These poor babies were taken in suffering from illness and skin lesions from living outdoors. Glossy spent all summer in our isolation rooms looking forward to the day she would finally be going to her forever home.

She has since recovered and is feeling so much better! Glossy loves playtime with her roommates and especially her toys! She also knows how to wind down and relax. She loves to lounge on comfy beds and would love to curl up next to you on the couch!

Glossy's adoption fee is donation based (choose your price) which covers her spay, up-to-date vaccines, deworm/flea preventatives and microchip!

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
