My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Apollo! This loving, silly, and eager-to-please sweetheart is ready to find his forever family. Apollo offers the perfect blend of goofy husky charm and loyal companion energy, happiest when he's with his people and giving endless kisses.

Apollo's Unique Talents & Traits:
Famous for: Sleeping with his tongue out, showing off his soccer skills in the yard, and swimming in the pool!

Manners: He is housebroken, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash.
Smart Cookie: He knows "SIT," "EAT," and "CRATE," and he comes running to a whistle.

Just for Fun: Like many huskies, he loves to dig (purely for fun, not escape!).

Social Butterfly:
*Apollo is incredibly social! He is great with:
*Dogs of all sizes
*Children (ages 5 and up)
*Even cats!
*He is friendly, playful, and respectful with everyone he meets.

Ideal Forever Home:
Apollo is very adaptable and just wants to be part of a family where he gets attention, exercise, and playtime! His ideal home would be an active one with a fenced yard where he can run and play freely. He would thrive in a family environment, whether that includes kids, dog friends, or even feline companions.

Ready & Waiting:
Apollo is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He is ready for his next chapter—and he is hoping it is with YOU!

Apollo is in the Greater Tampa/Sarasota Area

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
