Meet Raleigh | Apply Here
Raleigh is 6 years old (believe it or not) and 8lbs. Despite her tiny size, she’s quite mighty and sometimes forgets just how small she is.
Like Pip, Raleigh was rescued when we shut down a horrendous puppy mill in Ganghwado. Dogs being kept solely to breed over and over again were kept in their own filth, and some even confined to small spaces with tight metal wires to keep them there.
Little survivor Raleigh is definitely ready for the good life though. She’s a lover girl and quickly warms up to people. Her crate training is still a work in progress, and is essential to continue for long term success. Outside the crate she’s a joy but still figuring out toys and what beds are!
If you’re looking for your own real life lamb chop, Raleigh is making her debut this weekend at our adoption event!
**Please note: Raleigh was evaluated by a cardiologist in Korea, who noted very mild mitral valve regurgitation on ultrasound but no heart enlargement or signs of disease. She was also examined by our veterinarian in New York, who did not hear a murmur and found her clinically normal. Although Raleigh does not need any medication at this time, she does have a mild heart condition that should be monitored. We require her future family to schedule a yearly echocardiogram with a veterinarian to ensure her heart remains stable as she ages. Raleigh is otherwise healthy, active, and fully cleared for adoption.
