My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Rubble!

Rubble is a tank of a dog - so large breed experience preferred.  Rubble was abandoned by his previous owner.  He came in with some skin issues, fear, and anxiety.  He is is making great progress both with his physical health and training since becoming a Diamond.

Rubble is a giant puppy with lots of energy.  He can be a bit shy at first, but once he warms up he thinks everyone is his own personal snuggle bug.  Rubble still needs a lot of training and confidence building.  A perfect home would include no children under ten (10) years old, and someone who is calm and patient, as well as ready to put a lot of time into training and provide him adequate exercise.  Rubble is highly food motivated, which makes training a breeze!

At this time we are still learning more about Rubble and once he is more settled can dog test and update.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require each applicant to complete an adoption application, followed by a home visit. We also contact personal and veterinarian references. We want to make sure that the next home our furbabies go to, is their last, and that they will be loved like a member of the family.

We are a foster based rescue, but do also have a small shelter. You can contact us at diamondunderdogs@yahoo.com to setup an appointment to come out and check out some of our adoptables.

More about this rescue

Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to protect the welfare of animals, one life at a time, from unnecessary euthanasia. From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. Our goal is to make the adoption process a kind, informative and rewarding experience because we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

Why we do it:
4 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States.
That is 300,000 a month
Over 11,000 each day
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue works tirelessly to decrease this statistic.
