Meet Iris — The Clingy, Chirpy, Bug-Hunting, Bed-Bullying Queen ?
Iris is a gorgeous dilute calico with a heart as big as her personality. Once a shy colony cat, she’s blossomed into a confident, affectionate, and delightfully clingy indoor kitty who’s ready to steal your heart—and your bed.
This girl doesn’t just want to snuggle — she bullies anyone she can find into sneaking her into bed for all-night cuddle marathons. She follows you from room to room, chirps for attention, and rubs on everything and everyone in her path. Personal space? Nope, not a thing in Iris’s vocabulary.
Iris is a fearless bug hunter who actually eats her catches. She’s great with small dogs (even the yappy ones) and other indoor cats. Raised around backyard chickens, she’s curious and calm around them. Obsessed with catnip, treats, and laser pointer games, she enjoys short outdoor strolls but prefers the comfy indoors as an A/C baby.
Iris has been raised in a household with kids of all ages, including a special needs child who requires loud machinery. She’s used to loud noises and gets along amazingly well with children, making her a wonderful addition to an active family.

A group of volunteers dedicated to the mission of saving animal’s lives at the Jackson County Animal Shelter. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Mississippi.

· To assist Jackson County Animal Shelter with funds, food, supplies, shelter improvements, fostering and volunteerism.
· To assist Jackson County Animal Shelter in securing good, reliable adoptive families for animals through social networking, transport to other states and local adoption events.
· To educate the public on the importance of spay and neuter laws, animal protection laws, and pet owner responsibility.
