Lola is looking for a peaceful home. The mom that rescued her years ago, now has alzheimers and it scares Lola. She is a really low-key companion. Happy to share the couch with you. But she shared a little too much dinner with mom so now she's on a diet and cannot have chicken.
She has been to obedience class and it made a world of difference for her. She feels more comfortable to have structure and a predictable, consistent environment.
We'd really love to find a peaceful retirement for Lola.
Age: 8 years
Weight: 100 but she is on a diet now
Temperament: Gets along with calm adults
Training: Housetrained, has obedience training.
Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

We are 100% volunteer/foster based, so we do ask that you complete an adoption application in order for us to schedule a phone interview.
Interview
After reviewing your application, we'll contact you to determine if dog is a good fit for your lifestyle and home.
Approve Application
We check vet and personal references to ensure previous dogs were well cared for, so please be thorough in providing this info.
Home Check
This enables the dog to get to know you and your home and for us to suggest anything they may need to be successful in your home.
Sign Adoption Contract
You would also pay the fee at this time, however, we offer a 2 week trial period before cashing your check. We will always take dogs back.
