My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Cotton, a 4-year-old pocket-sized bully with a heart as big as her smile! 🐾💗 Weighing in at just around 30 pounds, she’s the perfect little companion—compact enough to cuddle and full of personality. Cotton is one of those dogs who makes fast friends wherever she goes. She absolutely adores people and greets everyone with a wagging tail and a hopeful heart.

This darling girl has been through a bit, and you might notice she’s still working through some skin issues. But don’t worry—they’re already improving and she’s well on her way to looking and feeling her very best. With a little TLC, we think Cotton’s glow-up will be stunning. In the meantime, her affectionate spirit and joyful presence shine brighter than any coat ever could. 🌟🐶

More about this rescue

The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.

Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
