My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annie is very timid and shy. She plays with her siblings and loves toys. She takes a while to trust people and wants attention on her own terms and timetable. She would do well in a home where that just lets her be her. Annie may never be a lap cat, but to the right, patient person maybe she could be someday. She will cuddle and purr if picked up, but will run and hide as soon as she is released. Annie just needs her chance to shine. She might also benefit from a more confident companion, such as one of her siblings. She was born June of 2025. If she is not spayed by the time she is adopted, she will be on a spay/neuter contract. She is microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants. ****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
