What we love about him:
● Great with dogs of all sizes
● Eats and sleeps comfortably in his crate
● Snuggly, cuddly, and affectionate, but also content to do his own thing
● Loves belly rubs, butt scratches, and all the attention he can get
● Enjoys chewing on toys — especially the small ones he can proudly carry around
● Nice leash manners and enjoys walks
● Rides well in the car
● Working hard on not marking indoors — rocks his belly band like a pro
● Sensitive to being lifted, give him time to get to know you
● Strong attachment to found items (especially “treasures” like trash) — needs close supervision and an experienced handler; may snap or bite if items are forcibly taken from his mouth, so careful management and positive trade techniques are essential
• Strong-willed and expressive — has opinions about being told what to do and may get a little sassy when asked to come inside before he’s ready or trade the couch for his crate. He’ll thrive with a confident, experienced owner who can set clear boundaries and build a respectful, trust-based relationship.
● Will need regular brushing and grooming to keep his coat looking its best ✂️

Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) Adoption Process
- Complete our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey to expedite the process and arrange a meet-and-greet. Expect a response within about a week; please check your spam folder. As we're 100% volunteer-run, your patience is appreciated!
Requirements And Donations
- Required Adoption Day Items: A martingale collar and a non-retractable leash (available for purchase at ODHS).
- Adoption Donations: Puppies (under 1 year): $375; Adults: $275; Seniors (age-dependent): $175; Select dogs: $500. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards.
- Adoption Radius: Within 350 miles of Fredericksburg, VA. A $50 out-of-state fee applies.
- Breed Identification: Dogs are listed as "Mixed Breed" unless formal documentation is available.

- Visit our adoption center at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 during adoption hours: Wednesday 5-7 PM; Friday 6-8 PM; Saturday 11 AM-3 PM; Sunday 11 AM-1 PM.
