My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable 1-year-old spayed female American Pitbull Terrier mix is as sweet as they come! With her beautiful white coat, eye-catching copper patches, and the cutest little pink nose, Brooks is guaranteed to melt your heart the moment you meet her.

Brooks is a super friendly girl who absolutely loves people and soaks up all the affection she can get. Whether she’s zooming around the yard, playing, or leaning in for pets, she’s happiest when she’s with her humans. She walks great on a leash, enjoys her treats, and is always excited for any adventure that comes her way.

She hasn’t been tested with other dogs yet, so a meet and greet is required if you have a resident pup. Brooks is a happy, playful young girl who’s ready to find a loving family to call her own.

Come meet this copper-kissed cutie and see why she steals the hearts of everyone she meets!

More about this shelter

The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.

Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.

Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
