My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Avery a tiny tortieshell treasure with a big heart and an even bigger playful streak. Her sister is Austria.

Avery is the kind of kitten who will melt into your hands once she knows she’s safe. She’s sweet, gentle, and full of curiosity. While she’s still building her confidence in new situations, she’s making wonderful progress every day especially when she’s around her siblings. Watching her bounce into playtime with them is proof that there’s a brave little adventurer in there, just waiting to fully bloom.

This girl loves to play. Give her a spring toy and she’ll chase it like it owes her money. Toss her tiny plush mouse and she turns into a pouncing pro, complete with stealth mode and kitten wiggles. And the tunnel? That’s her personal racetrack she’ll zoom through it, peek out to see if you’re watching, then dart back in for another round.

Avery is already comfortable with people. She lets you pick her up and hold her, and she’s learning that cuddles can be just as nice as playtime. With a little patience and a calm, loving home, her confidence will keep growing into the full tortie sparkle she’s meant to have.

Avery’s highlights:

  • Sweet, gentle, and affectionate

  • Playful and active loves springs, mice, and tunnels

  • Still gaining confidence, but improving fast

  • Good with handling and enjoys being held

  • Would thrive with a playful buddy or continued kitten companionship

If you’re looking for a kitten who’s equal parts sugar and spice a soft-hearted snuggler-in-training who’ll also keep you laughing with her antics Avery might be your perfect match. Come meet her and see how quickly she’ll pounce her way into your heart.

Part of adopting a kitten is recognizing that they are babies, and you will get to see firsthand how their wonderful natures develop!

Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens under 5 months old must be adopted with a buddy or into a house where there's a kitten-friendly pet.

This kitten is currently in a foster home. To meet this kitten, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. www.thedancingcat.org/adopt
