My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rudy! The Reindeer Pup!

Rudy is a 7-month-old Border Collie, Aussie, and Great Pyrenees mix with a soft fluffy coat, a tender heart, and the sweetest Christmas spirit. Named after Rudolph, he's hoping this holiday season brings him the greatest gift of all, a patient, loving human to guide him home. Rudy is looking for a local foster-to-adopt family while he waits for his neuter surgery. He would love someone who can help him learn the world isn't as scary as it sometimes feels. He's a very sweet boy, but also a bit nervous and unsure, still figuring out doorways, new dogs, and new experiences. Every day he learns something new, how fun toys can be, how yummy training treats are, and that keeping "4 on the floor" makes everyone so proud of him. With gentle encouragement and positive Animal Kind training, this big puppy will blossom into the confident, joyful dog he's meant to be.

This is Rudy's first Christmas, and he's hoping for a second chance just like his namesake. To shine bright, to feel safe, and to finally find his forever family. If you're looking for a soft, goofy, sensitive, incredibly lovable pup to nurture and cheer on, Rudy just might be the Christmas miracle you've been waiting for. Apply to see if you are his match!

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.
