My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Balto!

Balto is a 3-year-old chocolate lab mix with a dash of mystery in his genes - we think maybe husky or heeler, but whatever the mix, it's pure magic. With his rich chocolate coat and bright, eager eyes, he's the kind of dog who makes you smile the moment you meet him. This sweet boy spent his life outdoors, but now he's discovering the joys of being an inside dog. He's learning all about routines, leash walks, and the art of chilling out with his humans. Every day is a new adventure, and Balto is proving he's not just smart - he's super smart, picking things up quickly and always wanting to please.

Balto's personality is pure fun and exuberance. He's active and playful, ready for hikes, games, and adventure. He is still waiting to be neutered, so he's looking for a local foster-to-adopt home while he waits, one who can bring him back for the surgery. This means you can start building that bond right away and officially make him yours once he's ready.

Life with Balto will never be boring. He is looking for a person who believes in him - someone who will celebrate his victories, teach him with kind positive reinforcement methods and help him blossom into the confident, happy companion he longs to be. He's a joyful, spirited boy who just needs his special people to show him how amazing life is. If you're looking for a dog who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and keep your heart full, Balto is your guy. Apply to see if you're a match!
