My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Anya is an adorable 8-month-old pup who’s already stealing hearts everywhere she goes! She’s playful, loving, and oh-so-smart, with a calm, stoic side that makes her seem wise beyond her puppy years. Don’t be fooled, though—she still loves a good play session and plenty of cuddles.
This clever girl learns the rules in no time and has been such a well-behaved puppy. She’s perfectly content hanging out on her own, often choosing to nap or relax in another room like the independent little lady she is. No mischief here—just a good girl through and through!

Anya is a strong chewer, but she keeps her focus on her toys (what a star!) and hasn’t shown any interest in escaping the yard. She’s dog-friendly and enjoys the company of her furry friends. Cats and kids are still a mystery since she hasn’t met any yet.

She’s crate trained, working hard on her house training, and making great progress every day.
If you’re looking for a gentle, loving, and whip-smart companion who’ll fill your home with warmth and wagging tails, Anya might just be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

Mission: To rescue, rehabilitate, and find qualified loving homes for neglected, abused, and unwanted Huskies throughout Texas. To educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the special qualities of the Siberian Husky Breed.

History: Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. was created in May 2009 as a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers and does not have a paid staff or a shelter. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc relies solely on volunteer foster families to take huskies into their homes until permanent, qualified, and loving homes can be found. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is a responsible animal adoption agency and requires that all dogs over 6 months are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We ensure that none of our dogs will ever contribute to the overpopulation of dogs in our community. The work of Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is supported by tax-deductible contributions by individuals, corporations, and grants.
