Dash is a surprisingly spry fella for being 17 years young! he was turned in as a stray, but the shelter knew him but wasn't able to make contact with the owner.
Dash is looking for a retirement home and a fenced in yard and a comfy couch. He is a happy, friendly guy who walks on a leash. He currently is not using a crate but we are confident he can be crate-trained.
He struggles with arthritis in his shoulders which shows in his gait, but it doesn't seem to slow him down.
WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.
If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.
Adoption fee of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.
We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.
