My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pantera is the quiet, soulful type — the dog who watches the world with gentle curiosity before deciding it’s safe to step forward. Once he knows you, though? His soft eyes brighten, his tail loosens up, and he leans in with a sweetness that makes you feel like you’ve been chosen.

This handsome speckled boy isn’t here to be the life of the party — he’s here to find his person. Someone patient. Someone kind. Someone who understands that the shy dogs often become the most loyal companions of all.

Pantera would thrive in a calm, steady home where he can settle in at his own pace. He’s thoughtful, observant, and has a quiet charm that grows stronger every day.

He is also Pets for Patriots eligible, making him a wonderful match for veterans and service members looking for a companion who gives his whole heart once he trusts.

If you’re the type who appreciates the gentle ones… Pantera is waiting for you. 🖤🐾

More about this shelter

Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
