Perfectly named for her very French mustache, Whiskers is a one-year-old, 7.4-pound Domestic Shorthair with a personality that is equal parts goofy, clever, and loving! Whiskers arrived at the shelter after a clever stay at an auto shop. To keep her kittens safe and warm, this smart mom spotted an open car window and moved her entire family inside to curl up under the driver’s seat! Once discovered, they were gently removed and brought to the shelter so Whiskers could finish raising her babies in peace. Now that her kittens have all found their forever homes, Whiskers is ready for her exciting next steps! This bright, sassy, and affectionate girl is looking for a family who will keep her busy with play and plenty of snuggles.

Cat and Dog survey may be filled out online at babinskifoundation.org, or in person at the facility.

The staff will review your application! Please bring all necessary documents such as pet lease agreements signed by your landlord.

The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
