My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Biscuit, a tiny bundle of sweetness with a heart as warm as his name. This calm little guy may be small, but he’s overflowing with love. Biscuit’s favorite place to be is snuggled up close—whether he’s tucked under your arm during a nap or curled against your chest after a long day of play.

Gentle and easygoing, Biscuit brings a soothing energy wherever he goes. But don’t let his chill personality fool you—he lights up when it’s time to play with his brother. The two of them are inseparable, bouncing around together in adorable bursts of puppy joy before Biscuit inevitably settles back down for another cozy cuddle session.

Soft, sweet, and endlessly affectionate, Biscuit is the perfect little companion for anyone who enjoys calm company, warm snuggles, and the simple happiness only a tiny puppy can bring.

All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
