My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Romeo, a border collie mix. Romeo had been in shelter more than 8 months, but thank you to Coastal Pet Rescue he is now in foster and available for adoption. This incredible boy is a shining star with children and dogs, crate and leash trained and thriving indoors. He would be a phenomenal addition to any family. All he desires is love. He does have moderate energy level but after 10-15 minutes of playing and running around, he settles down. He aims to please his human and listens when corrected, but we are working on some more commands.

Romeo is Heartworm positive. He has undergone injection therapy to treat his disease and is awaiting a negative re-test. Adopters should discuss heartworm protocols with their veterinarian to determine treatment.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

Go meet their pets

Most of our pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
