My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This young hound mix has a lot to say and even more love to give. True to his hound roots, Uncle Buck lets his nose lead the way on every adventure, and he’s always ready for the next one. He’s an active, curious guy who will thrive with someone who enjoys walks, hikes, or just exploring the world together.
Uncle Buck is friendly and social, and he does well with other dogs. He’s still learning the ropes, so a patient adopter who can provide some training and gentle guidance will help him shine his brightest. Because we haven’t had the chance to test him, we’re not sure how he feels about kids or cats just yet.
If you’re looking for a spirited companion with a big voice and an even bigger heart, Uncle Buck might be your perfect match. Come meet him and see if he’s the adventure buddy you’ve been waiting for! Apply at ghhs.org

Additional adoption info

Adopters must be at least 19 years old.

If you rent, you must have permission from your landlord and pet fees must be paid in advance.

If adopting into a family, we require all members of the family to be in agreement about adopting. For families that already include another dog, we typically require a meet and greet; this may be hosted on the GHHS property, or at the potential adopter's home.

Some animals may require a home inspection.

Verification of current pet(s) vaccine/vet records.
