My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Curious, Cuddly, and Ready to Steal Your Heart: Dakota!

Meet Dakota, a fluffy eyed youngster with ear tufts for days and a soft, earnest face that says, “Let’s be best friends.” She loves short bursts of zoomies, toy time, and especially belly rubs when the zoomies are over. Quiet and thoughtful between adventures, Dakota already shows a knack for following you around and checking in to make sure you are still there.

She will thrive with a family who has time for gentle puppy play, short training sessions, and lots of positive reinforcement. Dakota is the perfect candidate for socialization and basic training right now and she will repay patience with loyalty, affection, and plenty of goofy puppy love.

Ready to meet Dakota? Email hopefultailsadoptions@outlook.com to request her profile, ask for Dakota by name, and schedule a meet and greet. Bring home a little explorer and a whole lot of heart today.

Adoption Fee:
Our sweet angel has an adoption fee of $500, which includes full vetting, spay surgery, microchipping, and a fecal exam to ensure a healthy start in their new home.

Please Note:
We require a $100 cash training deposit at the time of adoption. At Hopeful Tails, we strongly believe that training plays a vital role in helping both our dogs and their adopters thrive together. This deposit is fully refundable once proof of completion of a training class is provided.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for visiting!

If interested in our adoptables please contact us at hopefultailsadoptions@outlook.com, and let us know who you're interested in meeting. You must fill out an adoption application if interested in adopting followed by an adoption contract.

All dogs require a $100 training deposit. Once confirmation of the completion of a training class has been sent to the rescue, you will receive your deposit back in full.

As we are a rescue all of our adult dogs/puppies for adoption must be spayed and neutered. Although we make every attempt to have this done before finding their adoptive families, this is not always possible. Please speak with your adoption coordinator to see of this service has already been performed or they will explain to you if your new dog/puppy will need this service while in your care at no cost to you.

When emailing please include your phone number to help speed up the adoption process. Also, for the safety of our dogs, we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Joliet, Illinois, to allow our volunteers to do home checks, if necessary.
