Take the Pet Home
Meet Ember a playful, energetic pup who’s finally coming out of her shell. She’s playful, curious and likes to snuggle once she’s tired out.
She’ll do best with older, dog savvy kids and either as an only dog or with a medium/large dog who can match her energy. She is reactive to small dogs and cats, but cats could work in a home where they can be safely managed or kept separate. A home with some room to burn off her energy would be ideal.
Ember is still learning the world, so sudden loud noises and changes still feel scary to her. She is doing great with potty training and is crate trained. She is a typical herding pup and can be vocal at times. With patience and structure she’ll be a loyal, loving companion.
Ember is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
*Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
