Thank you, Market at MacVicar, for sponsoring my adoption fee!
Meet Chestnut! This handsome, 1-year-old, 60 lb neutered male Pit Bull mix is a bundle of affection and playful energy just waiting to share his heart with a forever family.
Chestnut arrived with his tail wagging and quickly made the rounds to greet everyone and ask for attention. While he might be a little shy at first, he warms up fast and becomes a joyful, energetic guy who loves to socialize with people! Once comfortable, he is a true cuddler who desperately wants to be a lap dog! He is also responsive to commands, coming when called and sitting nicely for handling.
A few things to know about Chestnut:
Personality: Shyly affectionate at first, quickly becoming very energetic, happy, and eager to please. Loves giving attention!
Dog Friends: Chestnut is ready to party! He excitedly greeted the test dog with high ears and a high tail, and gave clear play cues, suggesting he would enjoy rough-and-rowdy or chase-to-be-chased play. If you have a dog, please bring them in for a meet-and-greet to ensure they can keep up with his enthusiastic style!
Toys: He showed interest in toys but hasn't committed to playing with them yet-he seems to prioritize playtime with people and dogs!
Chestnut is the perfect companion for an active home looking for a dog who can transition from an energetic playmate to an affectionate lap warmer! Primary Color: Brindle W/white Weight: 60 Age: 1yrs 1mths 2wks
