My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ziggy, a 5 month old Corgi/German Shepherd mix! This sweet boy was abandoned all alone in the cold, but thankfully he was brought into our care, and is now awaiting his forever home.
Despite his tough start in life, he is a lively and energetic pup who is always ready for an adventure! With a playful spirit and boundless enthusiasm, Ziggy is the perfect companion for an active and outdoorsy guardian looking to add a burst of joy and excitement to their lives.
Ziggy is at the age where training and routine are critical, so he needs the consistency, patience and love of his new guardian to show him the ways of developing into a mature and fulfilled adult dog. Adopters are encouraged to attend puppy obedience classes, but the basics are a must - leash training, socializing with people and other dogs, and, of course, house training. Ziggy has not been well socialized, and because of his age and lack of experience, potential adopters should be prepared to take on these challenges.
Ziggy won't be a puppy forever, and as he grows, there are some important things to keep in mind about his breed. Ziggy is presumed to be a German/Shepard mix, however we cannot guarantee this is 100% accurate without a DNA test.
Given his presumed breeds, there are some behaviours that Ziggy will need to channel in a healthy way. Corgis are a herding breed, so it's very important that he is given outlets for these instincts. German Shepherds are highly intelligent and energetic dogs, who thrive with lots of mental stimulation and exercise.
So if you're looking for a goofy, rambunctious friend who is eager to learn and keep you on your toes, Ziggy is the perfect match!
**We are accepting applications, and are looking for a Foster-to-Adopt home while Ziggy awaits neuter surgery. **
