My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Charlie!
I’m a 3-month-old kitten from a litter of five named after the Charlie Brown characters. I’m still getting used to humans, so loud noises can sometimes spook me, but I’m learning to be brave every day!

I LOVE Churus (seriously, they’re my favorite), enjoy playing with my siblings, and my absolute favorite toy is a crinkle ball on a wand. I’m still coming out of my shell, but once you pick me up, I start purring right away—I can’t help it! I’m also very soft, which makes cuddles even better.

Since I’m still a baby, I need to go home with another kitten or to a home that already has a friendly cat so I can grow up confident and happy with a buddy by my side.

If you’re looking for a gentle, playful little guy who’s learning to trust and love, I might just be your Charlie.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
