Baxter is our little gentleman! At around 24lbs, Baxter is handsome, smart and a very smart young dog! He gets along great with other dogs, so if you have another dog, we always recommend bringing them along to meet!

More about this shelter
Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
