Meet Finley!

Finley is a sweet boy who loves love. He can be shy when first meeting someone but he does warm up quickly. Finley loves to snuggle, he is always rolling over for some belly rubs. He gets along well with other dogs and loves to play but he can get overwhelmed on first meetings so a slow introduction is very important. Finley is still young so he is still learning and getting used to walking on a leash but he is learning quickly.

In addition to adopting from our main facility, we also have pets at our new resale store/adoption center, some Albuquerque PetSmart stores, and other locations visited by our mobile adoption vehicle.

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
