My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ducky!

Ducky is a fun loving, energetic, goofball. She can be a little weary of strangers but once she warms up she is incredibly sweet and playful. Ducky is a hyper girl and will need a lot of exercise and play in her future home to keep her mind busy. She loves going on long walks and runs or even just playing ball in the yard. Ducky is not fond of other dogs so she should be the only pet in the home.

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
