Chloe, 2 years old, Poodle/Australian Shepherd mix. 20 lbs. Chloe is an independent spirit — she’s not looking to be everyone’s instant best friend. Or friend at all. It takes her several days to feel comfortable with new people, but once she trusts you, her true personality shines. She will be placed as a mandatory foster to adopt, ensuring the right fit for both her and her future family.
Chloe needs:
A home without young children
A very patient and understanding human
A secure, fenced in yard
Plenty of time and space to adjust at her own pace
She does fine with some dogs and may thrive with a gentle canine companion who can help guide her.

Here at the Red Desert Humane Society we strive to place pets in the best homes possible. We ask that you fill out an adoption application prior to meeting our animals. One can be emailed to you.
Once we receive your application we will review your application. During this process we will make calls to Landlords (if applicable). As well as your veterinarian that has provided care for your past or present pets.
We ask that you provide photos of your current residence where the dog will be living.
Once this is complete we ask that your bring your current animals (if any) to the shelter to meet your potential new pet as to prevent any possible problems once you get home.
If all of this goes well and you are approved we will then have you sign our adoption contract as well as pay the adoption fee.
Please call for our adoption fees or any other information.

More about this shelter
The Red Desert Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the placement of previously homeless animals in new, loving environments.
We alter and vaccinate all animals prior to placement, and screen all applicants to ensure a lifelong match between people and pets. We also educate the community about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, proper pet care, and animal welfare. We place dogs and cats in loving, forever homes!
