WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.
Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.
NAME: Snowdrop

Home Recommendation: Snowdrop is a sweet girl that is looking for a very patient, calm home where she can continue to come out of her shell at her own pace. Despite her fears, she is gently learning that the world can be a safe place, and she has shown small signs of progress as she gets comfortable. She will thrive in a quiet, predictable home with understanding adopters who can offer reassurance, slow introductions, and plenty of space to decompress. With time, consistency, and lots of love, she has the potential to blossom into a loyal and devoted companion.
WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Snowdrop spent her entire life as a breeding dog in a puppy mill. When her 'breeders' decided they no longer had a use for her, they planned to discard her. Thankfully, WISE was able to step in and rescue her giving her a second chance to experience the love and warmth of a real home. Now shes ready to start that new chapter!
Personality: Snowdrop is a gentle, quiet girl who finds comfort in cozy, safe spaces. Most of the day, she chooses to relax in her open crate, where she feels most secure, or curled up peacefully on someone's lap. She absolutely loves being held and seems to melt into you the moment shes in your arms. Though shes still shy, her affectionate side shines through in these calm, tender moments, and its clear she wants to bond closely with her people.

Training: Snowball is still adjusting to her new environment and needs time, patience, and gentle reassurance before she can begin learning new skills.
