Meet Olivia, a sweet and friendly girl who was brought to ACCT Philly after officers found her running loose. With no known owner information, this young girl has found herself navigating shelter life with lots of energy and curiosity about the world around her.
Olivia is a fun, high-energy pup with a playful and affectionate personality. She is easy to leash, enjoys getting outside, and loves engaging with her people through play, treats, and affection. Volunteers and staff report that she is very social, allows all handling, leans into pets, and takes treats gently. She especially enjoys toys like stuffies and rope toys and has shown that she can trade toys politely for snacks. Olivia is still working on her leash manners and can be enthusiastic on walks, but she is responsive and eager to engage. In playgroup settings, Olivia has shown both positive and challenging interactions with other dogs. She can enjoy rough-and-rowdy play but may need thoughtful introductions and management to help her succeed with canine companions.
If you are looking for a girl who loves to play, learn, and love, then stop on by and meet Olivia!

Crooks does appear to be highly sensitive to his back end, whether it be pressure or movement oriented its difficult to say. Pink slip placed on his kennel.
On 12/20 per staff: [Adoption] meet went really well, was very respectful of kids and senior dog. did get a little over excited over senior dog but was easily redirected with toys.
On 12/19 per staff: Playgroup Notes - Olivia had good gate greetings and at the gate was a bit tense but curious. in the yard she came in like a firecracker and went straight into another dog. she was loose and wiggly and loved rough and rowdy play

Kennel Presentation: Laying in the back part of his kennel. Came right up to the front when I approached the kennel door. Loose body, soft eyes and ears forward.
Leash Skills: Easy to leash. Pulled hard towards other dogs kennels. Immediately went to the bathroom when we got outside. Would randomly dart to the end of the leash and also jump up on me.
Sociability: Very social. Allowed all handling and leaned into pets.
Play: Loved the stuffy toy that was in the pen. I was able to touch her and the toy while she was playing with it. Also dropped it when I offered a treat.
Dog Interaction: n/a
Return to Kennel: On the way back in she saw a cat at a distance and pulled hard in the direction of the cat. She can walk nicely however will randomly fly to the end of the leash. Walked right into her kennel and unleashed easily.
Color Level: Blue
On 12/14 per volunteer: I had no issues leashing Olivia and taking her out of her kennel. Once she got outside, she went to the bathroom a few times. While we walked, Olivia would routinely jump up and bounce off of me in a playful manner. I took her into the large run, giving her an opportunity to play in the snow. Olivia had a great time running in circles in the snow, and she loved playing fetch. She chased down the rope toy and would return it every time. Only once did the rope toy get lost in the snow after I tossed it to her, causing her to look confused and searching all around her as she trotted back to me. When she did find the toy, she would shake it and pull at it along the way when returning it to me. Olivia exchanged the toy for treats. She sat calmly and patiently each time I offered her a snack. She always took the treats in a gentle manner. Olivia allowed me to pet and scratch her all over. Olivia returned to her kennel with no issue.
On 12/11 per staff: Playgroup Notes - High energy, frustrated at the gate, interested, good greetings, high tail wags, push/pull
