Name: Toto Best Guess for Breed: Lab and shepherd mix
Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of November 2025 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 55 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home
Toto is Looking For: 'There's no place like home. There's no place like home.' He doesn't have ruby heels to click - or his Dorothy - so he's sending out a plea to the universe to get him his home!
He's got all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager for sniffy trotting walks and all the adventures his new humans can dream up. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed - yes, those too! But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to be safe and loved. What do you say? Can you see him by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: This sweet silly guy is figuring out all the crazy things about home life - why are hardwood floors so slippery!? - but he is a quick study and loves showing off his smarts with a little guidance from his people.
Toto is settling in very nicely. He’s respectful of our cats (noses have touched, no one has been chased) and is very food motivated so learning tricks and manners easily. He’s a calm cuddle bug and he sleeps though the night in his crate nicely. He’s going to make his new family very lucky once he finds them!
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
