QUAKER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Quaker Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd/sheltie mix
Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of December 2025 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 37 lbs as of 11/19/25 - he is still growing!
Gets Along With: Other dogs! He has also done well living with kids. We haven't seen him with cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home
Special Adoption Considerations: Because Quaker is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes.
Quaker is Looking For: His forever home! He's eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and romps and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And he wants to know he is safe and loved. In exchange, he promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags he can store up, and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Is Quaker the one you have been seeking?
What My Foster Says About Me: Quaker is a totally sweet goofball. We joke that he looks like a cartoon character. He’s great with the kids even licking their faces and snuggling. He’s been super chill and laid on the couch next to me while I worked most of the day! He loves toys and emptied out dog toy box first thing.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.
