My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐱 🐈 🐱 Cat Friendly 🐱 🐈 🐱

From day one, Vinny will come in, get comfortable and make himself part of the family.

He’s a truly good dude who loves his peeps and wants to do what they’re doing. He has a great balance of activities he enjoys, and he adjusts his energy level to whatever’s happening. He is all about going outside and running and playing. But if everyone else around him is calm, then he will lay down for a nap. Good boi, Vinny!

He knows sit, paw and kennel, and he’s working on other commands like leave it, down and wait. He’s food-motivated, so he wants to listen and get that treat. He does well on training.

He is about 10 months old, so he has a bit of puppy in him, but he’s catching on to the big-boy stuff quickly. He’ll probably be about 55 lbs. by the time he fills out.

Vinny will go off and play in the yard, but he likes to check in with his people in between and afterwards. He doesn’t have to be on you or glued to you, but he’d make for a great companion at your side or by your feet if you’re working at home or lounging. He’s not needy, just really seems to like his humans.

He loves to play fetch or play tug-of-war with other dogs, and also likes chew toys. Pretty much, if you have it, Vinny will like it. He leaves the cat alone.

He is fully house trained and is crate trained – that’s where he sleeps at night.

Vinny often barks to say hello. He’s a talker and thinks that’s the best way to make friends. His foster people are working to socialize him a lot so he can get the idea that barking might not always have that effect. He’s sooo friendly and good, that he just doesn’t seem to understand it all quite yet – but he’s still young.

Vinny is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped, plus he’s current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $175. Meet & greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
