My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake has recently returned to the SF SPCA and is still feeling a bit shy as he settles back in. In his previous home he was very affectionate and friendly, so with a little patience he will blossom again once he feels safe.

Dressed in his grey and white tuxedo, Jake looks ready to stroll down the red carpet and straight into your heart. He enjoys observing the world around him and can often be found bird watching from a cozy window or quietly checking on the neighbors to see what they are up to.

If you are looking for a gentle and thoughtful companion who just needs a calm place to regain his confidence, come meet Jake. He is ready to shine again in a loving home.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
