My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gage is very sweet, eager to please and very affectionate. He has an adventurer’s spirit with a tender heart. He loves humans & other dogs but most of all his sister. He is learning basic commands and how to play fetch but basically no one ever invested any time into this fellow. He was kept outside all day long so he is learning to navigate becoming acclimated indoors. Because he is bonded to her, he must stay together and be adopted along with his sister.

More about this shelter

Hello! Thanks for checking us out. We are a 501-c3 non profit rescue and rehab service in Tucson, AZ

We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs from the streets of Mexico in cooperation with other animal rescue organizations in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Our shelter in Hermosillo, Sonora, Vidas Con Causa, currently has over 150 dogs. There, we provide medical care and a loving place for them to heal before coming to the US, then we foster and work on finding the perfect fit for adoption. You can also visit the available dogs at the rescue in Mexico. Our rescue partners spend a lot of time getting to know the dogs and we know MOST of their
perks and quirks!

We help special needs dogs, the amputees, the pregnant Pitties, the MexiMutts, those from small independent shelters who don't get much notice, the cancer patients. We provide round-the-clock care until these dogs are ready for rehoming.
