Ace in the Hole is a big, soft teddy bear of a dog who brings a warm, gentle presence wherever he goes. Social, sweet, and wonderfully patient, he adores children, happily letting them dress him up, cuddle into him like a pillow, and take him along on their adventures. Ace gets along great with other dogs and cats, greeting new friends politely before calmly carrying on with his day. He’s relaxed in the home, content to nap on his pillow or beside his favorite people, and he settles beautifully in his crate when left alone. Ace knows several cues like sit, lay down, and “go home,” enjoys baths, and absolutely loves car rides so much that he waits by the door hoping to come along. With his moderate energy, affectionate nature, and steady, loyal heart, Ace in the Hole is ready to be someone’s gentle giant and devoted companion.

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

You can submit an application anytime and receive an auto response with instructions. It is first come first served for in person adoptions.

2.
Submit Application

Our application creates your profile in our system and tells us a little about you.

3.
Interview

Our interview is an open discussion about everything we know about the pet and how it matches to your family and expectations.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

You will use your mobile phone (or our computers) to sign the adoption contract.

5.
Pay Fee

You will use your phone (or our computers) to pay any adoption fees. Credit/Debit cards only we do not accept cash or check.

6.
Take the Pet Home

We are able to send most pets home the same day as their interview. If they still need to have spay/neuter surgery it will be scheduled ASAP

Before you Arrive:

Make sure your apartment is pet-friendly. Check with your landlord about pet policies.

To make the adoption process go a little quicker, here's a list of what to bring:

-An ID with current residence, or proof of residence if it is out of date.
- Any family members or roommates to meet the animals
