My name is Boo (no more applications)!

Boo, aka Blue (his former owners used both) was originally adopted from us back in 2021, when he was around 2 years old. Unfortunately, Boo had to be returned to us in December 2025 after 4 years in his home, through no fault of his own. His owner had some difficult life changes and it was a sad situation for all involved, so we're grateful that the family reached out to us for help. Boo has been completely vetted, chipped, and his fee is $125.

Boo is about 6 years old now and is a medium-sized dog who could be a husky/cattle dog mix, possibly with other breeds like border collie and rat terrier. He very much loves to be with his people and is affectionate and attentive. He would do best in a home in which he's not left alone for long hours. He is still pretty active, enjoys his exercise, and is also content to hang out and cuddle. He has done well with other dogs and kids, but he's not the best fit for cats.

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
